FS#755 - Unbreaking X does not work and has not worked for a while!
Instead of a high chance to take no damage, it instead always takes 4-6 (about) uses from 1 hit to the valkyrie chestplate.
Not a new bug, but nobody reported it previously!
Indeed this bug has been around for a while.
But it was fixed a few month back, its just not fixed client side. Showing wrong damage values after getting hit.
After getting hit throw the armor on the ground, pick it back up, you will see it didn't take much damage
nidefawl, is that bug that you just listed fixed? The same seems to go with gravitite armor, as you said they have the same durability as diamond armor, but it doesn't show
Just tested it with Jaylee and his unbreaking X armor, doesnt seem to work, makes no difference throwing it on the ground and picking it back up the damage done to it is still very high.
From a few hits the durability went from 528/528 to 483/528, For unbreaking 10 i think that from any weapon the durability should only lose 1 durability at a time and sometimes no durability should be loss at all.
The bug is not fixed. Read what Woot, Gzer, and Jaylee said.
the way it works for lvl 10 unbreaking for armor works is there is a 36% chance that that damage point will not be applied to the armor, its a 20% chance for protection 2 books. Considering each hit from the boss is normally 5-7 damage points per hit that explains why your armor is broken from a few hits from a boss.

I seriously hope the unbreaking and protection mix-up was a mistake. Why is Unbreaking X only 36%? That seems unusually low for the highest possible Unbreaking book in Craftland... maybe it should be increased.
