If they were implemented, I should be able to craft fire charges and firework stars, but the recipes for them don't work and there is no recipe of them in the recipe book.

Theres no recipes in the recipe book as theres hundreds of them, it would make it stupidly long and annoying to look at.

Maybe you could just have the recipes for the default ones in the book? At least players would then know that they exist.
