FS#1140 - Vanilla Minecraft Features that are missing
Some of the missing features are Leads, regional difficulty (when pressing F3, there should be a line of text that reads Local Difficulty: X.XX), and pressing left shift to get off a mountable mob.
Please don't add the "Left shift to get off mobs" to Minecarts... It's stupid that they added it to vanilla, and it's another useless feature that nobody needs or likes.
Honestly, we missed a tonne of useless, annoying/terribly coded features of vanilla for a reason, not that these are those, but theres a tonne more that we missed. Leads is the only one that I see out of these that we need. I'll give it a shot soon, see how it turns out.
None of those features will be added. Sorry
Pig: We will not add leads. I like their idea. But I had good reasons not to add them. Its not just about saving work or being lazy that leads didn't get added.
One more thing: Leads can really fuck the game up. Plus I don't like the way Mojang implemented them. I care about stability. And I have to care about performance. Otherwise we cannot keep 20000 entities loaded at a time.
So, when I say "we don't add leads" this means we won't get them until I invest the full time to make 100% working on all entities. Until then I rather not have a buggy, unstable feature that just frustrates everyone and forces me to spent all my time on fixing it right now because its ingame and I can't just remove it again.
So: we might get leads some day. Just not now (I heard someone wanted a new world).
For the shiftclicking: I posted a reply for those kinds of feature request here: http://bugs.craftland.org/index.php/craftland/ticket-1210
