FS#1285 - Update Mob AI
In Vanilla Minecraft. The Monsters there seems to have a better pathing system as well as slightly more challenging to kill.
- Skeletons won't allow you to get close to them
- Killing a zombie will attract zombies in the area
- Creepers will find a path to get close to you
These are literally what has been vanilla for about a year now. I'm surprised its not added in Craftland.
Crafltand has pretty good pathfinding. I had to rewrite that a few years back to make it thread safe and more efficient. Its scaled along with several things(number of player, chunks loaded, tick rate, distance to next player, age, natural mob, mob level, world)
If we didn't have that we couldn't keep 10k entities loaded at any given time and have the server ticktime fixed 20 ticks/s
Right now I see no need to improve it further (which would most likely result in higher serverload over small AI improvement).
If you find a certain case of _leveled natural mobs_ acting all weird (making them less dangerous then please report that as a specific bug
